How and when did you get started with WordPress?
Since 2010 attending WordCamp Orlando. First experience that got me hooked was meeting so many opportunities to grow and share my experience and journey with my students in public and higher education. To attend WordCamp conferences and build a network I can provide my students locally nationwide and globally.
How do you use WordPress?
Education to teach with and Blogging global events and activities. Sharing where I and my wife are teaching, speaking, mentoring and inspiring. Showing that Black and Brown people do have a place and have value in technology.
How has the WordPress software or community helped you to grow or helped you accomplish a goal?
The software helped me to teach my college students how to create content for a purpose and reason that benefits them. To show them that Black and Brown people can create and develop innovative ideas, unique inspirational content and grow furthering their goals.
What is something you’d like to do or build with WordPress in the future?
A portal to create content for poetry, collaboration, blending of metaverse and Web 3.0 environments. To empower students in digital media and reach across languages to allow global citizens to share, collaborate and build communities. I’m teaching in Africa virtually and want to involve these African students and more. Thinking how I can be more encouraging when I retire with WP to work with and employed with the WP companies.
